this afternoon i decided to head down to the pigeon river near Treetops Resort to do some nice trout fishing. when i got there everything was looking great. the second i stepped out of the car i was attacked by black flies. they were so bad i decided to end my trip early. just a warning it about ruined my day so remember to bring the spray. also if anyone knows about a nice spot around otsego??

The blackie were out last tue (16th) around Atlanta, MI. I never saw them that thick here in the lower.

Went to AuSauble and Big Creek near CO RD. 489. Didn't have many black flies but mosquitoes will carry you away. Used lots of spray and a headnet. My head is still buzzing from all the noise they made. Came home, changed out of my sweaty wet clothes and looked out the window to see a bobcat walking across my yard. Oh yeah.....Caught a couple of rainbow that were returned to the nursery...:)
