a New Engine project

I have a 5.0L 305 i/o motor in my 19ft boat, engine block cracked going to sell it as is(only got 60hrs on it). I am going to replace it with a 5.7L 350. What kind of project am I getting my self into, I have heard it really isn't to hard to replace the motor, any opinions or ideas? :confused:

305 and 350 bolt up the same in a boat. Mounts are in the same places.

What kind of a drive do you have on the boat? You could run into differences in the gearing of the outdrive which would be bad. Otherwise you will more than likely find everything is pretty much interchangeable.
