i am glad to see that someone locked the thread on the bodies found in the detroit river...you guys, the true sportsmen that you are, were pretty ruthless...it seems to me that that dead bodies in the river are a little more
serious of a situation than mudpuppies and small perch on the ice, but you guys never let me or my buddy live that down, and were more angry and serious about that than the bodies...i hope these people were not related to anyone who reads this site, no one actually knows the entire story behind what happened with these bodies, but i know the mudpuppy and perch were released un-harmed---thekid:gaga:

good post...you stated what i'm sure many were thinking.

sad indicator of society's downward spiral when joking about someone's unfortunate demise gets 20+ posts, mostly with juvenile jokes, many of which were more not even close to funny.

think about members on this site who may have had loved one's who drowned.

and to the referees on this site...clamp down on this stuff sooner. heck if i created a thread on the youth firearms season it would be closed before it got one reply...but dead bodies, now that's a great topic for Michigan Sportsman.

Howdy--

Sorry if we were not quick enough for some members. :(

But like the Geico commercial says, "I've got good news!"

You guys can actually help us close offensive posts. See the little red exclaimation mark in the triangle up in the corner of each post? That allows every member to notify the entire Mod staff of a problem with a post.

If you feel we're missing something just let us know.....

We're here to help; that's what we get paid for.

I closed it. Thought it was beginning to be of bad taste. Probably should have stopped it sooner than I did. Actually I could just delete the whole thing.

You can see only when "logged on" to the site, otherwise it is not visable.

I feel all here are my freinds and comrades and it sure broke my heart to see how ruthless the people i find fellow ship with would poke fun in the loss of a fellow outdoors man or men in this case:sad: thank of the children and wifes that were left to deal with the morgages and bills and the raising of there children! God I pray for them to get through there loss and trying times there yet too face on there own! it truly is a shame

I try to approach this site as I would a fishing or hunting buddy, when I am with my friends I poke around, laugh alot, tell silly jokes. I am sure others on here feel the same, that they are among friends, and fellow outdoorsman, sometimes I say things that are in bad taste, however, I dont realize it till after it was said. I apoligize if anyone was offended, was just trying to get a smile about a sad situation.

So are the condoms, tampons, and underwear that float down the river off-limits too? Think about the poor guy that pooped in his pants or woman that got caught on the river at the "wrong time of month".

Seriously,,,the one-liners and zingers that I read seemed to be directed at the "river" and "city". Not this at this individual. Can't we all just RELAX??

Thanks WHB. all I can say Is OMG, relax. Out of the many many dead people i have viewed ,I can 't think of one time a joke wasn't told to lighten the situation. I didn't realize the little pun horrified some people . If I offended anyone, I'll pay half of your shrink bill if you split your meds with me.... O-NO now I'm an illegal drug user:nono:

Hey thekid, thank for bringing this up again????? Obviously your don't like to post much due to your injury on some mudpuppie post. Here is a tip If you don't like how a thread is going, don't just read the site like you normally do. Say something. You, Yes you could have turned that Disgusting thread around.
