View Full Version : St. Joe League invades the East Side!!!
I am sure that Mark (adjusted3) and Steve (Steven Arend) won't mind that I post this for all of you "East-siders" to see.....
The St. Joe League will be packing up and heading east in less than a month for its annual Lake Erie Walleye outing headquartered out of Sterling State Park. The actual tourney date will be Saturday, June 10th... but many of us will be fishing Friday (9th), Saturday (10th), and Sunday (11th)... and there will be alot of us camping at Sterling State Park campground for the weekend. I know my girlfriend and I have site #115 reserved for Thurs, Fri, and Sat. nights!!!
So... mark your calendars and come on down and join us.... and you too can meet the "infamous" Steve Arend from the "Life with Steve Arend Stories". :D
As far as the actual tourney rules.... I will let Mark or Steve post those!!
Looking forward to meeting some of you "East-Siders"... it should be a great time!!!
And yes... we are... "moving on up... to the East Side!!!" :yikes:

If I had a boat I'd love to join you.
I'll see what my BIL has going that weekend.
One question though....what do you do with the sheephead that you keep?Any of you westside guys feel hungry? Cause I've pulled some mammoth sheepy's out of Erie;)
Even when you can't find the walleye(which isn't often) the sheep always provide lots of fun:)

Steve Arrends and Adjusted usually arm wrestle for them. They told me they prefer them over walleyes. Weird!:dizzy:

Headed down as soon as the crew arrives. Last night we pulled 6 fish and lost one in 2 hrs of fighting the waves. Looks like the wind has died a bit, hopefully will be a nice day. Good luck to all!

Sorry to be missing you guys but since it's in my backyard and I'm off I gotta head north for the weekend. You guys usually do well but I think you'll do better than the past this weekend. The lake has been fishing very well lately and this cool weather might just keep it fishing well and the weeds to a minimum.

You ARE the Sheepshead king! And even the"pied piper" of the sheep as they all wanted to go with you when you left! I hope their disposal went as .......planned!;) :D
It was a GREAT EVENT AGAIN! Hats off to the fishdog gang, and the others who worked so hard to make this all come together. I had an absolute blast, and I couldn't decide which hurt more this morning, my sides, my head, or my sunburn( not my neck, just from my head down:lol: :D ) I wonder how my Buddy Darrin felt this morning!
Hope you guys all had a quick catch this morning, I had breakfast with Jim, and we were home by 11:30.
Thanks go out to Don P, and Jimmy( my other crewmate) for putting up with my kind and sensitive side, and for all the help making the weekend go smoothly. Alot of good memmories, a ton of laughs, and a few new friends, what more can a guy ask for. Thanks to all who attended.:)

Well, for me and my crew, we had a great time. Weather really cooperated well, and everyone pulled fish. Only problem was seeing those west siders beat us up on our home turf! :)

Hey Todd, we have some events comming up, and you east siders are always welcome to come and"stir things up" on the west side. We would love to see some of you folks come on over, and there are often open seats on some of the boats!:)

You can bet I will in the future, now that I have a boat big enough to handle some bigger water. My little 14' did a lot for me, but was too small for the big water. I am going to try to fish Frankfort or Ludington over the 4th of July weekend. Might get over to St Joe at some point this summer. Right now, I am still busy getting the boat set up the way I want. Friday was the first time for the big boards. Had to change the mount system last night, and replaced the aerator pump. Plan to put on the riggers this weekend and test them.
I don't know what is more fun, fishing or modifying the boat.
