On Sat we braved the weather and fished between A-Can and B-Can. Ended up pulling 10 eyes in about 3.5 hours of fishing. Spoons and meat, both worked. Working 15 - 20 FOW. On our last pass we went to within 2 miles of West Sister, excellent marks, but no takers. Fish ranged from 15.5" to 27.5" with the average being around 23"s. This area should start to produce easy limits in the upcoming weeks. This is a pic of CMFish51 with the biggest of the bunch.

Anyone else make it out?

It was perfect weather for a layout shoot, but we settled for some eyes....

Good sized fish for the ones we caught...The West Sister Island area is really going to start to heat up in a little bit, marked a ton of fish, but coulnd't get em to go yet...

I agree that this area is going to heat up fast. I did some scouting last week before the weather turned. The gravel pit area was loaded with fish. I trolled for a bit but they wouldn't go. Tried spoons and cranks. I then went to another favorite spot which is northwest of the island in 30-31 ft and the finder was lit up again. No luck on them either. This is always a great area for bigger fish in May and June.

RickyP - I agree on the NW of the island...seemed like we were with only about a half dozen other boats in a 1 mile radius and we would take 4 man limits by 10 in the morning...

We trolled crawler harnesses and spoons and did good on both, prolly better with the meat. Spoons colors that worked well were Rays Razberry Dolphin and Puss-N-Boots...

We had a great time out there last year from the middle of May to the later part of June. Limits were the norm and the fish were in the 2-6 lb range. It was geat. We were in 30-31 ft of water running scorpion size spoons off 40 jets and dipsies. Best colors were boy/girl, shrimp and blueberry muffin. I was really amazed too at how little boat traffic was around us. Caught some huge sheephead too. Hope it sets up like that again this year.

JstFish - Do not have pics yet, they are the new spoons the Happy Hooker B & T cre made this year and hooked us up with to use...

Sock-em...you didn't miss a whole lot...supposed to be 0-2 footers, more like 2-4 footers, but it was still fishable with the big boards...

RickyP - I am thinking the same...According to our notes, They are forming the same patterns as always - just a little later than last year though, just hope they stick around that area as long as they did last year...
