Well, before I get to the pic, first I have to give credit where credit is due. I wanna send a big shout out, and a very special "Thank You" to Smiley, TinCan, Houghton Laker, Ed Michrina, and Curt(Hotwired). You guys have helped me immensely. You've all at one point or another introduced me to handlining, and taught me the ins and outs of how to catch fish on the end of a wireline. I can't thank all of you guys enough. Everytime I flop a fish over the side, I owe it all to you guys. Especially Michrina, Curt and Kevin. You guys have made my head swirl at times with all the tips and pointers. And teaching me this spot, that spot.:dizzy: You guys are 1st class citizens, excellant Anglers, and grade A sportsmen. I'm truly honored to know you guys, and feel privileged to consider you guys as friends. I mean that. I strive to be the type of sportsman that you all are, and I will always try to help out a young wireliner, and/or pass on the knowledge that you all have passed on to me. Again, thanks guys.:grouphug: So, on to the report. It finally all came together this morning. This is my first year of handlining, and today I got my first limit. Man, they were snapping today boy! Wow was that fun! Got my 6 in the upper river mouth. US and Canadian side. Lots of people were catching fish, smiles all around. What a great time! Just an awesome day. Got some fish on spoons, and some fish on a Fire-Tiger size 9 Rap. I run the Rap on the top lead, spoons on the bottom 2. They were hitting every thing ya dropped down there. Caught fish on pink spoons, Belgium Flag spoons, Clown spoons. You name it, they ate it. And that's about it. Here's the pic. Fish ranged from 15" to 17".

Almost forgot. Dropped my sinker over the side at around 7:20. Was back to the ramp at 8:44. That includes the several Sub-Legals I threw back, and a little bit of culling. Needless to say, they had the feedbags on!:)

I have said this at least a couple times in the last two months but here goes again. The contributors to the DR forum are the most helpful on this whole board. There is hardly any bickering or "I know alot more than you" attitudes, only good information, ideas and techniques.

Hotwired, Double Trouble, Houghton Laker, Ed and all of you great sportsman that have helped me out with my first season on the Upper Detroit, Thanks Again!! (Lunch and Beers on me whenever you want it)
