Judge orders RVs out to end zoning dispute
LEXINGTON TWP.- When Bruce Thibault's wife died last year, he basically moved to Lexington County Park.
Last week, a Circuit Court judge signed an order banning overnight camping at the park and ordering the removal of RV-related improvements done there since 1994.
This follows several years of legal battles between Sanilac County, which operates the park, Lexington Township and four neighbors of the park. The neighbors, who did not return calls seeking comment, had a long list of conditions in their lawsuit, including giving park control to the township and banning seasonal camping.
