Looks like the reports are now split out (good idea mods) so I'm going to post this here:

Crap shoot this morning with the lake messed up and no fresh reports. We set up in 60' and my nephew spotted a net dip on the boat next to us, who I was trying to drop behind, so we stayed on a north troll and soon hit a double. Sweet :) . Then we got another king (11.3#) :) , and soon another. Went to pull them still on our north troll in 60' and hit a double with 3 lines still in the water. I lost my full core fish while netting his fish. Not a bad catch for dropping the boat at 8 and putting it back on thre trailer at 11:20, with a 7.2 mile run back to port.

Details (I love the way Rev. Mike details out his catch, so I'm going to copy it).

Holland straight out to Camp Geneva, north troll, 2.8 gps 2.0 Subtroll at 30. Up temp 49, down temp 47.

5# king, Stinger yellow/orange mongoose, half core on board.
2# coho, DW green dolphin, fixed slider 5' up over 30' down.
11# king, DW coyote, 41' down 15' stretch.
5# king, SS mongoose, 30' down 50' stretch.
5# king, same as 11# king.
Lost something with shoulders, full core on board, magnum Strike Zone 50/50.

Mono and wire divers with spinnies, coho candy orange dodger, and later spoons did nothing.

Great day with my nephew, and the boat ran just flawlessly (which it should, as I have $2k into it this year and my salmon is running $$ / pound).

Way to go.... thought about going to South Haven this morning because the reports said the lake was going to lay down.......just figured it would be all screwed up with the 12ft.ers out there two days ago!

cedarlkDJ,

I was out of South haven this morning. The fish were pretty scattered out there and we really never got a good program going, but we caught most of our fish between 50 and 70 feet. We just couldnt really get um going good out deep. They were scattered all over the water column also, everything from 110 down on riggers (lots of deep marks on the graph) to right on the surface (trying to reset a rigger and got hit). 5 color cores and slide divers took the most shots though. We didnt hit any salmon over 5lbs, besides a few lakers in the 7-8lb range, which I am sure we will not see next weekend at the tourny with our luck:rolleyes:

heres one of our chunky lakers

Yeah those lakers were some fat nasty slobs for sure, must be from eating those "magnum" 7 inch gobies that we pulled out of one of um. If we could just find them next weekend....

We didn't mark much bait, although a few of our fish had 'wives in um, but I did hear from several sources that the bait was stacked in close at the pier heads up towards grand haven and north...
