is the weather as nasty there as it is down here in monroe? windy and rainy for a few days straight, and a few more days of the same ahead:rant:

Thanks for the info Southend. I was already planning on going to Hoyles (where I thought it was lauched out of) for the afternoon weight-in. I'll be heading over there about 1:00pm for a good seat and to visit with friends. I believe the weigh-in starts at 3:00pm, right?

The wind isn't that bad here near the Bay, I'm guessing 10 to 12 MPH sustained. But she's kinda cool and wet from time to time. The recent bite has been in the 7 to 9 foot range, so they can still tuck in safely withouth much wave action along the S/SE shorelines and hopefully catch some fish. They were spanking them in the middle of last week in those depth ranges. No monsters but nice keepers. But we all know how that goes don't we.

all too well...hope they have decent weather for the tourney. it seems like the walleye guys get the worst weather for tourneys compared to us bass guys.

I hope your wrong. I may be fishing the Labradie Olds tourney next Saturday with my cousin Mike. And if the Tittabawassee stays at flood stage until then, I probably will be. And even though Mike won the first Labradie tourney and placed 5th in the next, his habbit of "Balls to the Wall" in any conditions, and his idea of "Farther/Deeper is Better" does not really appeal to me in 3 footers or bigger. Especially after the recent tragidy on the Bay.

that was a terrible accident. did they ever find the other 2 missing people? it's a total shame for the families.
i hope i am wrong as well, just making a point based on normal weather for us this time of year is all.
i know farther and deeper aren't always better....i find myself catching my limit of walleye in 10 to 12 FOW when most other boats are in 20 to 24 FOW. i think it has alot to do with how certain people were taught to fish. instead of venturing out (or in, in this case) alot of fishermen will deal with a "zero" rather than looking for new areas.

i know after that tragedy i am a lot more careful in what i do out there. i will always have that thought of the guys drowning in the back of my mind.
