I'm gonna be fishing the Rifle this weekend and I was just wondering what might be in there this time of year? Any tips would be apreciated.

Fished it monday near the headwaters and found very clear water and lots of trout and suckers. I tried flies but had no takers and switched to worms and got a few nice sized browns that were just what i needed. After reading whits post I suddenly became ill, couldnt work, and needed some stream time. worked wonders! good luck

Thx for the heads up. I'm gonna be fishing near Standish or Forest lake to be more persise. I'll probobly use crawlers hopefully hook into something.

Jus so you are aware we recieved abouft 2 3/4 inches of rain here yesterday and the rifle is rising fast and visibilifty is falling. Could be bad, could be good. I'm sure it will push a few steelhead up and brown trout fishing could be infteresting. Good luck.
