Updated quite a few of the pages.

As of Monday the 8th, there were 55 entries. This is about 20 more boats than last year for that time. We expect another 70-100 at the captains dinner for a total of 130-150. Hoping for calm seas and a big turn-out.

2006 BW Classic Calcutta

A Calcutta is an additional tournament and entry that will be run during the Classic. The cost is $100 Cash. 80% of the entry that is taken in will be paid back to the participants. Prizes are awarded for every 4th boat that enters. If 100 boats enter into the Calcutta, there will be 25 prizes. Those are pretty good odds at taking home a prize. The standings are determined by your total weight of your two-day catch. The same rules and tournament committee that govern the Blue Water Classic will be used for the Calcutta.

You may register at the Captain’s meeting on Friday night; it is optional. There will be a table setup at the Captain’s dinner taking registrations. There will also be live updates as to how many boats have entered, how many prizes will be awarded, and what the prizes are.

Prizes will be awarded after the weigh-in on Sunday.

2006 Daily Big King Jackpots

The 2006 Daily Big King Jackpots is a new big fish derby that the BWSA will be running during the Blue Water Classic. The entry will be $50 Cash for one day; entering in both days will cost $100 Cash. Participants may enter only Saturday, only Sunday, both days, or none at all. 80% of the entry will be paid back to the participants. A prize is awarded for every 25th boat that enters (rounded up) in that day. If 100 boats enter on Saturday, 4 prizes will be awarded. If 101 boats enter on Saturday, 5 prizes will be awarded. Odds are not as great as the Calcutta, but the prizes are much larger. The standings are determined by the largest one King Salmon by weight caught for that day of fishing per Boat. The same rules and tournament committee that govern the Blue Water Classic will be used for the Daily Jackpots.

You may register at the Captain’s meeting on Friday night; it is optional. There will be a table setup at the Captain’s dinner taking registrations. There will also be live updates as to how many boats have entered, how many prizes will be awarded, and what the prizes are.

At the weigh-in, there will be a board with standings of the top chinooks for that day. Prizes will be awarded after the weigh-in on Sunday.

As of The 8th of May, we had over 55 boats entered into the tournament. This is about 20 more boats than that the same time last year. We expect another 50-90 at the captains dinner, so we should be right around 120 boats.

Thanks Lil' Tanker, good luck to you guys too. Ya that is my michigan bull from a few years ago. Repeat would be nice but there is alot of good boats out there. We were out last saturday and had a pretty good day, hopefully the boat runs good for us...always seems to be a problem.

We had some major boat trouble last year both days, we thought it was the alternater but it ended up being something different. Our batteries drained and if we would have stalled out at all for what evere reason we would have been dead in the water. Somehow we made it through the weekend by charging the battery overnight. What made it even more crazy is we were making the run from Port Huron to Sanilac both days. Last year we spent our money on fishing tackle, this year we put it into the boat.

Good luck, I will find you at the captains dinner and say hello.

Thanks Kevo.
My team is about as prepared as we dare get. We don't want anyone to think we know what we are doing, but we will have a good time faking them out.

It is going to be tough to beat our 13th place finish last year, but we are going to give it a hell of a run.

We don't even have to worry about the boat quiting this year we can focus on fishing. Donny hooked me up phat and the Lil Tanker is looking better than ever.

Get a hold of me if you guys are fishing the tourny and get me your cell phone number. We will be staying in Port huron all weekend.
