Finally took the 5th wheel and boat up to Frankfort last weekend for the season. Fished Friday with nothing happening. Water temp was 49-51 outside the piers. Since I fish solo often, I did just install a new FF and autopilot last week and this was the first test run. Man is it sweeeeettt. The DNR was doing the survey and she said she only heard of a laker and pike caught off the pier so far.

We fished out of Frankfort Saturday evening and went 2 for 5 on lakers and 3 for 3 on Kings and missed a large steelhead that snapped us off. The Kings ranged from 10 to 13 lbs. Fish came on downriggers and leadcore. We gave up on the skinny water for browns 2 weeks ago.

Capt Jim... I was fishing the shore for Browns and steelhead, guess I should have went to plan B. Oh well, still nice to be out and try the new AP. I'm going to try again this weekend, weather permitting. :)

We fished friday evening (4-12-06) and ended up catching 4 nice Kings from 8 to 13 lbs and a really dark steelhead that we threw back. Fish came south of the piers in 60 to 90. We probably missed another 4 to 5. Fish came on riggers, leadcore and divers. :fish:
