Hi,
Anyone know of a place where I can have custom wood turkey plaque made? I have an idea for a plaque and saw one similar but have never found one like it in stores or on the net. Its designed to hold the tail feathers, beard, and feet along with an engraved plaque in the center.
My wife thinks that I should have had my bird mounted in a full mount but its a bit too late for that to happen, so this should be the next best solution.

Did you try Walnut Creek Hardwoods? I do not know of a custom place. Maybe a cabinet maker?

I picked up one of these at Cabela's, might be a good compromise. My tail is still drying so I havn't put it togeather yet. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp;jsessionid=BQ5UBQ4KBHJ5TTQSNOLSCO4OCJVYQI WE?id=0037687&type=pod&cmCat=d_trkhnt033106-catfeathunt&_requestid=24306

We have a laser and can cut pretty much whatever you want.

Need dimensions and/or a rough layout.

Will have a water jet cutter soon, too.

Make sure the back side allow room to sit away from the wall.

I might bring the tail down a bit. I'm not sure the open design could ever allow for wing attachments.

There is plenty of face space for an engraving - beard would need to come down.

It is a nice change to the traditional panels.

Here's the pic I copied the design from

The wood can be burn with a propane torch or wood burner

This is my first turkey fan mount and i thought it turned out decent, the picture doesnt do it justice. The only thing i dont care for about this kit is the breast is kinda on the shiney side.
2006 Bird 11" beard, 1 1/2 kicks, and 22lbs.
