Looking to take the wife out after some silver this weekend. Any recent reports from the lower Huron areas. Sounds like the weather should cooperate this weekend.
Thanks

Start north between the trailer park and Cherry Creek, 15-30ft of water...work from there...when there has been action that spot has produced relatively well

If you are looking for kings I would skip the skinny water and go straight to Harbor Beach. Fish 80+ FOW in the top half of the water column. Lead core is great for kings this time of year. Shallow water gives you a chance for coho and the occasional brown, but kings have fled to deeper waters.
If you hit Harbor Beach, drop lines as soon as you get out of the Harbor and troll out. It doesn't take a whole lot of time to get out there and there's no telling what you might run into on the way.
This recommendation is from past experience from this time of year. I have not yet been there this year and have no particular inside info. Just a recommendation that has worked for me. I usually try to keep an idea on what the water temp is doing on the surface and down at my deepest cannonball. 80' is a go-to spot in HB. It seems like no matter what time of year it is you'll be able to find something between HB and Port Hope in the depth range. I can't tell you how many fish I've hit between 78 and 83 in that 7 mile stretch.

Fished out of Sanilac both Sarurday & Sunday......
Saturday, cold, windy from the north, maybe 4 to 6 footers. Started North of the Harbor towards the trailer park, Picked up 1 Lake Trout. Trolled south down to the high banks, worked in 45 to 55 feet of water. Went 5 for 7 total for the day, 3 lakers, 1 coho & a nice 9.5 lb king......
Weather was a little better Sunday...... wind switched from the south..... not as cold, a little better water, people complaining about the chop on the radio.... should have been out yesterday (LOL)...... fishing over my marks from yesterday til 10:00 am...... No Luck.....
Still a great weekend Fishing...............
