If Erie is within the boudary limits, you can bet that is where the winning fish will come from. 30 FOW, trolling with Tail Dancer Deeps. That it your best bet.

About going way out into Lake Erie, we have a 14' boat with a 15 HP outboard on it. We can go out a little bit, no where close to the Sisters or Bass islands.

We wanted to try trolling in a couple spots at the mouth of the river that ususally hold bigger fish in summer at least, but, we have never tried them in spring. We know we can easily go up the Wyndotte and probably get our limit pretty quick, but, we want to search for the big boys. I am thinking the big females are probably just leaving the river, and are stacked up near the mouth of the river.
