After a small mishap on the way to the ramp that left the tailgate of my truck smashed in and the tongue of the trailer with a little less paint on the bottom my son and I made it the whole 3 miles to the ramp in MC. I will never ever leave the driveway without checking the trailer coupler again. Anyway. We went back to the mouth of the river that is by the large ant hills ( as my son calls them) and set up in 27 feet of water. We were the third boat off the seawall. Ran all the same baits as last week when we got 5 in a an hour and a half. Fished from 7:30 till 10pm with only 1 fish. The next boat in towards the wall took 5 with on the same rapala we were using. The guy who was closest to the wall had his limit and was pulling anchor at 9:30. There were a LOT of boats out on the river last night. Marked a ton of fish all night long with frequent schools of baitfish.
And that my friends is why they call it fishing, not catching.;)
Gonna try again this weekend.
