By the High rise...couldn't get a bite over in the Cow Pasture!

I was just out tonight from 6-8:30. Picked up 2 (16" and a 18"), and lost 2 or 3 others. Caught at least 5 or 6 Smallmouth. I was in the Cow Pasture. Caught all fish on spoons, one of the Eyes on a orange Rap. There were 4 or 5 other boats in the area all pullin wire. I started out in the 24-28 foot range and I seen them flopping lots of fish over the side out deeper than myself. So I slid out there, talked to a river rat or two. They were all getting them on Spoons in the 35 to 40 foot water. I had action immediately. One by one they filled their limits and motored off. 36 feet was the most consistent action for me. We were motoring pretty tight together at times. I seen one guy net a hog Eye. Nice fish. Wish I could of stayed out longer. Might have had a limit.

I think my boat is a 2 trick pony. I was out Saturday too. Yep, 2 Eyes. Both were 18's. One came down by the Ambassador, and the other came in the Sturgeon Hole. Hopefully one of these trips I'll bring home more than 2. Be back at it this weekend.:)
