Algonac 5-2

Went out this morning and got a two man limit (12) by 9 a.m. Stopped to talk to Walleye Mike before heading in. Mike it was nice meeting you. We got all our fish on flukes again. Same place as yesterday. No more than 150 yds. from city ramp upstream. We were actually starting our drift about where everyone else was stopping.

Definitly slow for us today. Drifted jigging from willow point to Locust point picked up one. Saw a couple of nets go in. Talked to some guys at the dock, only one each for them to. Drifted a harness for 1 drift and got nothing.

Made a couple of drifts where Beagle1 was, only 1 hit there too.

If you don't mind telling, what color Flukes are you using. We are heading out tonight in the rain for our first shot at the SCR, and was going to stop and grab some on the way. Thanks, and nice work on the fish.

Today I used an albino all the time and every other time out I used smokin shad almost exclusively. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. I could only find Albino at Gander, so I gave that a whirl. We ended up going to old trusty DR since we were not sure where to go in SCR, plus we did not think there would be many boats out because of the weather. We ended up with a 3 man limit by Mud Island, we were the only boat out there after about 7:30. Thanks again for the tip, we are going to try SCR Sat morning when we can see more boats and get an idea of where to fish.
