Fellow Fishers, Been out on the Detroit River only a few times and need some location help. Can somebody please tell me where the Edison warm water discharge is, is it easy to see the area? How long do you expect the walleye fish will last this spring? Thanks

The edison discharge is directly south of the elizabeth park launch. the fishing is good but another thing that is in full swing is the silver bass. I catch fish all year in the river, just not there. Its about time for me to abandon that spot in another week or so and gradually start moving up river.

Gene,
The discharge comes out of a rather wide canal that is in the shadows (south) of the stacks.
South side of the canal is all rock rip rap and the north side has boat docks.

the warm water discharge is south of the free bridge at Elizabeth park. launch. it is about 1/2 mile north from the mouth of the lake erie, it comes out in the river at the 2 big stacks painted red and white. can't miss the stacks and the boats that :fish:sworm the area. I was out there with the bro-in law yesterday and the water is murky and fishing is slow.

If you were jiggin there hasnt been a good bite for a couple weeks now.
Its been blowing east for a week that has nothing to do with it in my opinion.

I bet you where the one handlinning..something I need to try again. was out once with a guy and never got a fish on to say, but I want to learn and maybe get a set of reels for my boat? Had a chance from "river rat" with a set but did not move fast enough maybe and was short on cash at the time. any ideas would help..thanks:dizzy:
