Well, this is the first season that we have hit the DR jigging for eyes. The first two trips we managed (3) fish between me and my buddy. The third trip we managed (6). Last sunday was our fourth trip and we had four of us in the boat. It took us about five hours, but we actually managed our limit. What a blast! We lost several more on the way up and on top. I would have to say we hooked 40+ fish. To be honest, I'm not sure if that is concidered really good or not, but it sure seemed good for us! Thanks to everyone for posting tips and tid-bits on this site. You all played a MAJOR roll in me and my buds having a great day on the water.
As for location, we launched out of Del Ray and fished from the Bridge down maybe a mile or so. The most productive depths seemed to be between 28 to 40 feet. We fished plastics (both worm and minnow) on various colored 3/4 oz. jig heads. Stinger hooks were key.
Headed back out this Sunday to try it again.
