so i got to thinking... would it be compleatly crazy to attempt to drag bottem bouncers or no snag sinkers w/ crawler harness's for walters right now? so long as i stay away from the packs? or are there realy far too many snags? from what i felt its a hard sandy bottem in most spots. just wonderin.

Don't know about th DR, but as far as the scr and lsc that's the only way I like to fish it. As far as snags go you're going to get hung up whenever fishing the bottom of any river. SCR's not to bad, just make shure your main line is hevier than your leader so you don't loose your B.B.'S. Hopefully i'll be making my madin voyage to the river this weekend, I tied some sweet harnesses and can't wait to try them out! If I go i'll post a report:cool:

Hey there Neil Like I said you can make a trip with me when the water warms up it is still a little cold for harnesses.. I am not saying they wont work but we had a sudden warm up in the river than it has slowed maybe because there has not been that much rain latley I shoot for 50deg and warmer..
I dont drift I troll the river big diffrence, we have to go during the week in the morning alright.. Cya Slick

neil, you got a little time before they really get going with a harness. Just like slick mentioned, the water needs to warm up a touch. Its close to starting though.

We talked to a guys Sunday night that was drifting harnesses and had a couple in the box, may be an effectiive approach...

If you see night crawlers on the sidewalks, it will work in a river;) It works best with a little power to keep your line angle down river- just lifting and bouncing the bottom.
