Stolen gas at Luna Pier public ramp!!

I just want to give everyone a heads up so you may be able to prevent this from happening to yourself.

I parked at the public ramp at Luna Pier on Friday morning, and when I came back in and got in my truck, my 1/2 tank was now empty, and my fuel light was on a beeping at me.

With gas prices the way they are now, and the fact that everyone knows if your parked at the boat ramp you wont be back for hours, this may become a bigger problem all over the state this summer.

I will be getting a locked gas cap so this wont happen again.

Sorry to hear that. My wife has been after me for months to get one and I kind of blow the idea off. I suppose I know what I am buying tomorrow. Once again, sorry to hear about your bad luck.

Must have used a very small diameter hose. Most vehicles come with a "anti-siphon" device in the filler neck. Supposed to put a stop to the old "garden hose" routine. Dirty "bastiges" anyway, I hate theives. :rant:

hopefully the vehicle they put the gas in requires DIESEL.....:D

A friend of mine had his gas siphoned out of his truck. They used a clear hose (something like a 1/2 inch). When the looser tride to pull it out of the tank it got cut off and ended up stuck in the truck.

I thought them days were over. I was wondering when the low lifes were going to start doing that again it was only a matter of time with the gas prices as high as they are now.Sorry to hear that it had to happen to you.I HATE THIEVES...............................:evil:
