So bass season opens up today in MI, and I'm stuck here in Arkansas on Beaver lake. Just wanted to wish all of you a great bass season ( It's now safe to talk about it) I promise I wont mix any of these down south lunkers into my MI pics. I suppose being down here bass fishing right now is like cheating on my wife, and I'm sure my Michigan Karma is disrupted for the rest of the season. Anyway, good bassing to all; and I'll catch you all on the flip flop.
3rd.Sat. in June - Dec. 31 lake st.Clair, St.Clair R and the Detroit R.
Sat. Before Meorial Day - Dec 31 all other waters including great lakes.
unless you mean CATCH AND IMMEDIATE RELEASE SEASON:
What opened today was the Walieye and Northern Pike in the lower pen. inland waters not othyerwise closed to fishing.
I would not want some one to get caught with a bass in there boot and lose there fishing privlege.:yikes:

Last Saturday in April. I've never kept a bass before, so there's no difference to me between the catch and release and regular season.

Got 6 bass today while Pike fishing. Three good ones at 16-17 inches. The rest were runts. It still blows me away that a 10 inch bass will hit a 3/4 oz spinnerbait with a big trailer.

I slammed a couple big ones tonight, bout 18" apiece. I ran my rowboat along the shore and flipped a 7 inch purple culprit worm with no weight toward the drop off. I worked late so I ran out of daylight. Got some good pics but it seems my photo gallery is full.
