Just talked to a buddy of mine and we are thinking about giving it a try on sunday. It will be our first time out for silver this year. We've been chasing the walleye in saginaw bay for the last few weeks. Now that our freezers are full of gators and with all the boats that are going to be out there this weekend for the contest we decided to try for silvers.Has anybody been doing any good lately out there?Who else will be out there on sunday? We will be on 68.

good fishing too all:)

Also heard from some reliable sources that the action has slowed down a bit over the last couple of days...couple of guys went out today and only managed 2 fish between 3 boats...who knows that can change anytime...southeast winds tomorrow, waves 1-3 feet not that bad...

If anyone can change it you know Ficious can. May the maiden voyage be a success either way.... FISH ON ;)
Oh yeah... Happy B-day Andy. Remember, Excedrin Migrane and lots of water. LOL!

fished thursday and friday north of sanilac. thursday went 6 for 16 got 2 nice lakers that were thrown back, 2 coho and 2 white fish. friday we went 3 for 5 with 2 coho and 9 lb brown. there were guys at the fish cleaning station on friday that had some kings but not to many. we need this east wind to go away.

If there is a personal heII, I think we just came from it. Fish being caught, and we're stuck in port with motor trouble. Sorry guys, I thought she was ready, ran in the driveway fine. Hope to get her straight before the next trip. Nice to meet you Baydawg, and thanks for the effort to find the ball Jared. Sounded like a few people were on them. Saw others come back to the dock pretty green. It was lumpy, but definately fishable.

Well, we ended up getting a late start in Lexington. Hopped aboard TGA Fish's Islander. Ended up picking a nice 3lb Coho on a broken back orange thunderstick on a two color. Had one other hit on the rigger about 10 down, 18fow. Both came just south of the harbor. Went out deep with no success. What the heck:mad:

long week with east winds seemed to shut them down a bit...from mid week on seems like the action has slowed...in addition I personally called all the fish in the area from my cell phone and told them to hideout because I could make the trip this weekend...:D

It was still a pleasure. Hope that motor doesn't take long to get fixed. If there are two people ya want to be stranded at a dock with, it's Bay Dog and Ficious. Lots of laughs and LOTS of good fishin' stories. We still got to hang out for a few hours and shoot the bull while we were waiting for those stores to open. Thanks anyways Harry.

I will second the stranded part! My time passed almost as quick as if we were filling the box with fish. I got home and my wife asked if I was dissappointed...I told her nope, I just made two good friends. If I can sit in a broken boat with guys for 4 hours and not get bored, I can't wait to go fishing!

You two are welcome on my rig anytime!

Thanks again!

Had the chance to fish with Harry last year and indeed a very classy guy. We didn't catch any fish but Harry tried everything on his boat for me to catch my 1st big lake salmon.

Thanks guys, but, c'mon, yer gettin it all over my shoes! You're all a great bunch of guys as well. If the fishing stays this way past the smelt run, it looks like we might be on our way back, at least a little. Maybe "the pack" will be more than a couple of boats out of port in the same direction. It has been kinda nice not having to look forward and not worry about it(other than freighters). Looking forward to seeing/having you guys out there this season.

Hey Joeker.....no cats last year. Those waypopints are areas to avoid. But seriously, big cats like those are fun, beats lakers for fight. Wouldn't want to eat a cat that big.

Hey birdman, did you guys make it out there sunday?? We were the boat facing out on the south docks.

well, weather reports aren't looking too bad. winds will be down as will the temps. hopefully the fish feel like eating. if all goes well, i'll be in the water shortly, try out my new riggers and leadcore setups. can't wait! try the new motor out and hopefully she runs as good as in the drive way. try her out in st. clair in the next day or two before chasing silver on the weekend...

hope to see you all out there soon!

I fished Sunday night for a couple hours and ended up with one 8 pound laker.
Did not get out much last week because I was chasing birds around and then the baby came on Friday.

The East wind scattered them a bit but hopefully this weekend will be better.
