2 of us ended up playing with 22 fish in the past 4 days, actually 3 1/2. only fished for a couple hours friday. fish and people are exactly where you would expect them when the water is 52 degrees.:lol:
very surprised we did not even get a bump in any spot unless there was gravel VERY close. Normally i take some hungry snakes in the "winter" holes.:confused: eggs,plugs,spinners,nightcrawlers all produced fish. #12 watermelon corkie (fished with pinkie nail sized skein dyed glow-red) accounted for the majority. it got all the fish today. chrome bright to nasty black and everything inbetween was found. still think the run is HALF of what normal is.
my oars are getting stored and i'm through with fish for the spring. too many turkey tags needing filled between tomorrow and memorial day.
