Bait store on Jefferson near Kercheval

Got the boat ready today for my first trip out tomorrow morning.
Will launch at St Jean and head over by Peche Is. area.
Just wondering if there is still a bait store on Jefferson and I believe it was near Kercheval. Haven't been out there in a couple of years, and I'd like to pick up some minnows out that way.

Does anyone know if that bait shop is still there, and what time they open?

I'll be the idiot in the green and tan Lund doing circles trying to stay vertical and keep the boat pointed straight! I haven't quite mastered the foot pedal operated electric trolling motor yet!!!:lol: :lol:

Moe's bait is on Jefferson right at Alter. Not sure if this is the place you are thinking of, but it looks ok.

Yeah, Moe's is the place. It's the only bait shop I'm aware of near St. Jean. It's on the south side of Jefferson 2 streets west of Alter Rd.

I guess you could also make a run over to the Canadian side and hit the marina that's on the other side of Peche. They have bait.
I think you'll want to have your birth certificate with you, though.

Jefferson and Kercheval never meet, they both run east/west, Kercheval is further north.

yea I'll give a good shout out for Moe's. always a good minnow count, always open when I need him to be!!! It's a little different slice of life taking my three kids there as well...its all good......Moe's is cool...andy

FYI he doesn't take plastic, cash only. There's an ATM at the gas station right next door though.
