Hot-n-Tots have always worked good for Walleye on the Bay. Colors change from day to day, get a variety and listen to your marine radio for what and where the fish are. The fish seem to work their way toward the inner bay as the water warms, I start out up by bay port, Sand Point and go to the little charity is where you'll see a lot of boats, then move down to North island and troll along all the islands, if I remember the water depths run from 10 ft. to 18 ft. Use planner boards or in-line boards to get your lures out to the side of your boat. Troll about 1.5 to 2.5 mph. Just look for the group of boats. I'll be out there this year. It's been 8 years since I fish it a lot, Got a new boat this year and plan to use it as much as the weather allows. My old boat was called Sea Cat, don't know what name i'll use now.
Good Luck:

different baits are used in different situations, but some other popular presentations are crawler harnesses with bottom bouncers, snap weights, or inline weights.
you may even want to get some big jon mini disk or jet divers and pull stinger spoons or mini streak or junior streak spoons behind them.
deep thunder stick jrs., deep and shallow diving husky jerks(12's and 14's), floating rapalas(18's), and reef runners all work good as well. the bay is a popular hot n tot fishery, but there are other options that work just as well.
some times you can listen to the radio for fish location, but youll likely have lots of company. best bet is to fish as much as you can and learn the bay. try and find that spot where there are less anglers. youll be allot better off, ecspecially on a flat calm day.;)

How well do those Jet Divers work? I saw them the other day and wondered. Being I have no down riggers on this boat yet. Do the get down deep? We camp in Tawas in July and they get a few browns in deep water that time of year, I fished them before, But used down riggers,
