Been talking to the wife and son about it for a week. Maybe even just through on a backpack and do a shakedown hike to a friends house 4-5 miles away for an overnighter.
Let me know what you think of the place. I've never been there, but booked a site in early July for the family.

What's the name of the campground in Metamora?
Was at D-A with scouts last weekend, beautiful scout ranch, if you ever get the chance to go.

Metamora/Hadly Rec area, North & South campgrounds. More people than I thought camping. About 40 % full Fri. night.
krt- Your taking kids and fishing right? Remember the hole S of the island. It's a nice campground, stays pretty full in the summer.

We camped too and in fact, we were at Metamora/Hadley! We had a nice lake front site and really had a great time.:)
