Does any one know of any programs that you can take a kid hunting or get a young person involved in hunting/outdoors? My wife and I have decide not to have kids and we do not have any nieces or nephews in the area. I really would love to teach/show a kid to hunt and enjoy the outdoors? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks!

A good place to start would be a local gun or conservation club. I help out at the annual hunter's saftey class our club does every year. Many clubs have junior shooting instruction classes. There might be a youngster at the local Big Brothers organization that's looking to spend some time in the outdoors, too.

You could also check out Nugent's Kamp for Kids program. You can sponsor a kid and send them there for about $60.00. They use to send kids that wouldn't otherwise be exposed to the outdoors. I sent my nephew there several years ago and he had a great time.
