I would like to fish Lk. Nepising. Is there a good boat launch? Years ago the DNR netted the Musky out of my local lake (Murphy lk.) and put them in Nepising. It was fun catching these monsters in that small lake. The problem was the Musky would go up stream to spawn and couldn't get back in the lake. As kids we used to see these big fish in the creeks when spearing suckers in the spring, what a thrill to see a huge Musky in 2 to 3 ft. of water.:yikes:

I was there Tuesday and the ramps were not in the water and the parking lot is full of big potholes. There are not any Tiger Musky in that lake anymore and if you like catching 3" gills that's the place to go other than that don't really waste your time.

What happened to the Muskies? They didn't allow spearing through the ice, did they? Hell they could have left them in Murphy lk. They would still be some in there. No Spearing Allowed. Too Bad! There is walleye, Pike, Bass, etc. in Murphy now, but the boat launch is all screwed up, was owned privately, then DNR was to take it over, then got in a pissing match with the owner and He just put up a fence and moved out of state!

glockman stay on your own lake, much better. Also I can get my 20ft walleye boat in there on the dirt launch around the curve.....not real fun but its possible.

The tigers that were once in Nepessing are all dead from old age, they rarely live beyond 10-12 years.

theres a small channel, which has homes built around it,we use to catch some nice crappies there by the yahts club. I have heard not much muskies, but planted many walleyes there years ago. Great bass lk!
