Please pardon the improper use of this forum, but does anyone have a good idea of the total weight of an Astro 14' aluminum, deep V, two seater with a Mercury 25 hp tiller? Need to know kind of quick and tag is missing.

not sure of your weight but "the bushel stop" on newburgh rd. has a scale if you want to go weight it. i think they charged me 10 bucks before.

i dont think you need to weigh it anymore, just take you registation in and they give you a permanent trailer plate now. i think it is gunna be 75.00 again this year.

If you've had a new plate tag in the past 2 years, you don't need to have it weighed. Otherwise, as I unfortunately found out, you need to go through the hassle of finding a scale.

I would guess between 300-350 lbs.

Uh, if I am not mistaken, "Fishcancer" was asking about the weight of a boat and motor and not the weight of a trailer. (The trailer gets weighed without a boat on it for registration purposes, anyways.)

If "Fishcancer" wants to know how much weight a particular boat is rated to carry and the little tag on the stern is gone I would think that the best place to go would be to a dealer.

If it is to find out how much the package weighs in order to figure if a trailer will handle it then my first thought is that the trailer is probably on the small side to begin with. But, "Fishcancer" I think that a dealer will be able to help you out with your questions.

i just went to a local grain elevator when i got my first boat & told them i needed a receipt showing the weight of just my trailer & the asked me how much i wanted it to weigh(boat & trailer were home) they gave me a scale tag & i was good to go=) or go to the mfg.'s web site & e-mail them on the specifications of that boat
