Oscoda/AuSable this weekend?

I'm being pressured ;) :evil: into making a run up to fish Oscoda/Ausable for the day on Friday. Gotta be home late Friday/early Saturday though. Anyone from the site here going up this weekend? I'll have the trusty ol' two way on 7-0!

Will be traveling light this trip two rigs, one for walleye and one for steelhead, vest, net, tackle box and of course a cooler! ;) Reports I get from now til Thurday at 5pm will help decide were we'll start. I'm pretty we'll leave in the wee hours on Friday so we can be in town a little ahead of the sun! :coolgleam :whistle:

Me and the girlfiend are heading up Friday sometme. We will be staying with her mom on the old Army base turned into Condos. I usually fish while they sleep, so if some of you's guys are going to be out at the mouth or at the dam, we might cross paths. Those are the only two spots I had the pleasure of fishing, except for Van Etten, but the boat is not ready yet.

I also will be up till following monday after easter. Staying at old orchard park. Most of my fishing will be around the Rea road boat launch & secret spot depending on the water levels.

Theres a few fish starting to make their way up the river. I went 0 for 2 and saw one other fish hooked. Nobody landed or hooked anything else around us. The rain is gunna help out a lot and should be good the next few weeks. Good luck. See ya on the river.

Oh well :irked: hope it all works out in the end but I had a big change in our plans...

All of you that were able to make it up can personally thank me when they return and read this post, at which time you'll come to realize exactly why you had such a great time and successfull trip! I fully expect to hear that the rain stopped, the weather was great and the river was full of fresh chrome, as well everyone took home a limit........ All because I had a change in plans and could not make it for a one day run up and back fishing trip. Chain of events lead me to thinking it will be better when I can be there next weekend, for the whole weekend along with Monday and Tuesday. :)

Hope all who went had a great time! Please post a report I can read while banging my head against the wall :banghead3 next to my computer....
