I'd try out by Big Charity Island, I remember we use to get Walleye early in the spring by the Charities'... maybe troll deep and slow (1 mph) with crawlers. If the wind isn't blowing too bad.

Good Luck:

People are perch fishing at mouth of Saginaw River, at Pine River east of Standish and out of AuGres. Walleye bite really hasnt started and guys are only getting 1-2 a trip at dusk. Best bet would be to try the perch. Just pick a spot and go.
If planning on Bay City you have to launch at Independance Bridge (north) or GM launch (south) in Bay City. DNR launch on Patterson is closed still for dredging so plan extra 30 minutes for river.

I would try out of Augres for walleye. With the last couple of warm days and the warm rain its gonna really turn on. We've been getting a few every trip on deep diving minnow baits fishing 17 to 21 fow. Good Luck!!

:fish: For deep and slow trolling for Walleye, I use Pa's Deep Diver Lure/Worm Harness Combination. They work Great in 18 to 20 FOW. Troll speed about 1 to 1.5. Try it out this year.

Take I-75 until you get to M-61 exit in Standish, go east until you will come to the stop light in Standish. Corner there is M-61 and US-23. Continue through the light going straight. You will the come up to a 4 way stop which will be Old State Rd. and M-61 gets renamed to Pine River Rd.( I believe). Continue straight on Pine River rd. about 2-3 miles and there will be a small boat launch sign on the left hand side of the road if you are looking for the boat launch. Turn on that road to the right (only way it goes) which is a dirt road and take it to the end. You should be at the launch.

Good Luck

Got 20 keepers with my son today we were out for 4 hours. 6-7 foot of water. Nice day to be on the water, used perch rigs and minnows.
