anybody have experience with the lowe roughneck series of boats?

i am in the market for a good ultility boat without spending a ton of money. walleye fishing on the detroit river, lake erie and inland lakes as well as some duck and goose hunting. i was interested in the RU2070CC. 20.5' center console, 96" beam, 25" side depth, 21" transom. how big of an outboard should i consider?

any other suggestions on another boat?

what do you guys think?

That is a good boat you are talking about. If Im not mistaken it is all welded and .102 inch for the entire boat. I just bought the Grizzley made by Tracker. I really like it and mine is just the 1648. It is perfect for the river. You will like the roughneck.

I would get the extra support in the back of the boat so you can use a bigger motor. I had that put on so I could use a 40 horse.

You might want to checkout sea ark before you buy. I was on Mechanical Head's last weekend on the st. joe and was really impressed with it. He has a 20 footer with a 65 jet drive outboard it was solid and plenty of room for three guys to fish.
