I have worked out a partnership that I have been working on for a long time.Pheasent forever and trappers.I provide them with a list of trapping and which county they live in ,Then the people in that county call the trapper and the trapper comes and traps the land that they have planted for pheasent. This will only be during trapping season.it's a great deal We get permission to trap, they get predator control, together we work out a united group of sportsmen
requirements for the trapper

#1has to live in michigan

#2should be a knowledgable and ethical trapper over the age of 18 (I want trapper to be shown as good people)

#3 use small trap (#2 and under that are properly modified) no conibears (this is so theres no cat/dog problems)

#4 provide me with info (name/phone#/countys your available to trap)

I will try to work this out for other states as well carl

Great Idea Carl!!!!!!

I have never had the time to learn the ropes and get actively involved. I hope that your brainstorm turns out to be a long term success. Maybe someday I will be able to offer my services....

Best of luck!

E-mail has been sent Carl, and thanks. I'll second the waterfowl support through trapping! Heck, that's why I started trapping in the first place. The mink, rats and such are just because I love it so much!

I'm working out a deal with the michigan wild turkey federation.
Mallard could you contact the people from the duck groups?

I'd be happy to Carl. Maybe shoot me an E-mail and give me an idea of how to approach the matter with the boys. Michigan Mallard is also a good choice in the matter. We both have attempted to bolster the relationship between the orgs. , but I for one would love to hear how you got this thing rolling!
