Hi guys. I have a 16 foot smoker craft with four bench seats in it. I was thinking of taking out one seat, the one thats in front of the farthest aft to create a 6 ft. long deck in the middle. Does anyone see any problems with this? and if so what can i do to keep the integrity of the hull. Thanks!

I have a 16ft Sylvan Super Snapper that is really similar to the Smoker. Mine is the same as the Snapper on the outside but has a different layout on the inside. The S/S is basically a row boat w/o a center bench seat. and it does have a floor, with livewell and storage on the sides. I would check with a dealer in your area to see if a structer problem may occur. You may also get some ideas on your new layout. Good Luck!!

thanks so much for the reply! I think i will do that if i can find a smokercraft dealer somewhere around the dearborn area. The main thing i was worried about is buckling, not so much the sides, but long ways because i mainly fish erie. i cant imagine that to much support would come from just that one bench, but u never know. Well anyways thanks again!
