Anyone tried Lk Orion 4 Walleyes???

curious to see if anyones had any success on the marble eyes out there

Talked to the fisheries biologist that runs the stocking program for south east Mi at the Lk Orion Launch last spring. They were out doing a net survey. I asked them about walleye returns. They said that they had netted one 20" walleye and that that was the first one they had netted since they started stocking it. They had been ready to discontinue stocking walleyes there but were encouraged by that one fish and were going to stock it again this past fall. I dont' know if I'd bother fishing it until they get a better return. They have stats that tell them if they net a certain # of fish that there is probably x number in the lake so you could call them and ask them what their guestimate is. Hope it helps.

the owner of the bait store in downtown LO has told me he's heard of a few caught but no one really specifically fishes for them

its a big pike factory as far as i can tell

but youre right, it might not be that productive if your biologist connection only netted one
