Drove up to "Pop's Place" saturday afternoon to check out the ice, and there were a few shantys inside the islands. Didn't go any farther north. Back towards Bay City some guys were fishing in the Quanacassee River, at the boat launch. No one at Vanderbilt Park. No one at Finn Rd. or the Hot Ponds. Lots of ice on the east side. (At least what I could see from the truck. Don't know how thick, but it was out quite a ways.

Fished out of mud creek this weekend (north of Bayport). There was six inches of good ice. The perch fishing was a little slow with mostly small ones being caught. Between three of us we caught close to 50 fish with only 15 over seven inches. Most fishermen were out about a 1/2 mile.
