Finally Found Them!

I live on silver lake near rockford and this year i have been searching for the panfish. Last year i caught tons and this year i hadnt caught one till today. I went out about 4:30 and i planed on fishing till dark and in the first 15min i caught 7 perch the best being an 8incher. action slowed after that and could have probably moveed around and found the school again, but i decided to put 2 tipups out with perch on them. nothing yet on the tipups, will reply when i go bring them in. i caught the perch on a minnow with a bobber and a small spoon with a minnow head.

PS. splitshot i an still looking for the gills, no sign yet.

me and a friend got 6 or 8 perch this afternoon and i had 2 pike take my perch minnow. one ran and spit the hook, anoother ran and broke my 2lb test line on my ultralight panfish rod. next time i go i will have another heavier rod with a minnow on it.
