Hey guys, first off I want to just say a quick hello to all the people that I spoke with while wondering around the fly fishing expo over the weekend down in Warren. It was great talking with all of you and I thank you for the words of support and encouragement in reference to some recent endeavors. You keep up your end of the bargain and I'll keep up mine!
Sounds like I did miss some decent fishing on Saturday by some accounts and I didn't miss much at all by others. In other words, same as always I guess! I spoke with John on Saturday evening and found that him and Heather at least had done fairly well by having a decent number of battles and putting four of those in the net.
On Sunday however he said that they worked pretty hard to hook one large one that got off, picked up the usual trout suspects and got one large planter Rainbow that got lose from somewhere. Bob said that the word in the shop wasn't any better from the other guys either, just a tough day by all accounts. Here's a few shots of a few of their fish...
A couple of Heather's fish from Saturday.

I did a guide trip yesterday with a couple of anglers I haven't had out for about four years, but luckily, we picked up right where we left off by pulling a pretty good day out of some fairly tough conditions. The guys had been up all weekend and only had one Steelhead and a couple of trout to show for it thus far so their expectations weren't all that high, but their spirits certainly were and that positive outlook paid off. Air temps were in the low teens when we got started, but that didn't bother the gorgeous gal that took Tim's fly in the first hole!
Tim broke the ice (no pun intended) early on in the game!

It did get slow for a quite a while after that fish, but luckily it picked right back up again later in the afternoon and we wound up doing battle with a fair number more and bagging several of those. All in all a very good time and I'm fairly certain we're going to try and do it again before four more years go by! Here's one of the bucks that Jack landed.
Nice fish Jack!

I guess that's about all I have for you on the fishing side of things right now, but check out this thread (http://www.fishbaldwin.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=1815) if you have any interest in what ever else I'm writing about these days and I'll try and keep up the fishing post portions right here for as long as I still can find the time.
Tight lines all,
Steve
