The Deer & Turkey Spectacular will be in Lansing again on February 8, 9, & 10. I have been to most all of their shows. It has an excellent hall to view many of Michigans best bucks from over the years. It's well worth the trip to Lansing.

I am going on Sunday. I hear they let you bring out of state bucks. I have one that rough scores 180 and would like to get it officially scored. Do you guys know for sure if they take out of state bucks to get scored?
Hope to see some of you there.

I can't say for sure, but I'd bet you can find somebody there to officially score you rack. Worst case, you might have pay a small fee. Bring it with you, for sure.
Like most deer and turkey hunters, I look forward to this event, but there's been times, especially on Saturday afternoon, when I hated it because it's so crowded you can't visit the booths because you're trapped in such a sea of humanity that you get swept downstream as the crowd shuffles along. During slack times, early or late, it's great.

Nope I'll be lying on the couch this year. Home many of you out there found this site due to our appearance there last year? Not many I suspect.

For the record:
Steve, no, your presence at the deer and turkey expo last year was not the impetus that caused me to join (I had been a member a while).
However, it was did mark the only time I have met you face-to-face (as well as salmon smoker).
That did have an impact in my involvement in the site. In fact, I brought my Dad, and he started visiting the site post that event. Sometimes it is easy to overlook the impact a brief interaction can have.
At any rate, please get healthy Steve. We all wish you well.
I will be in Lansing early Sat morn. Look for the thick. cinder-block-headed guy with a Colorodo U hat with a Royal Wolff stuck in the crown, spending money on gadgets he doesn't need.
Regards,
Kevin

Yes they have a contest for out of state kills. I recieved a booklet that has the events listed. It has something about that in it. I go nearly every year. It is spectacular as the name states. Hope to notice some of you there.

I will be there on Friday most likely. Mainly I will go to listen to some of the guest speakers. The show itself is good, especially the wildlife displays. The vendor show is pretty small though or at least it has been in the past. Its actually one of the smallest outdoor shows in the state. Its worth the time though in my opinion. As mentioned earlier, it becomes way to crowded real fast, you end up feeling rushed at times.

Dogman, it was very nice to speak with you, turned out you were the only member here I got to meet. I missed Sunday's action as I was on call for my job.
