I have a few weeks left. I don't offer boats with the rental (liability risks too high), but there's a couple of marinas on the lake that will rent pontoon boats.

Linda's place is real sweet, in the heart of Gods Country, with an outdoor jacuzzi on the shore of the lake. The Chain-O-Lakes are my favorite inland place in MI. She is also minutes away from the Macinaw Forest and the beautiful Jordan River running through it if your friend likes trout fishing.
I really enjoied my stay there, and will be back.

My buddy's family has a couple places on Lake Huron in Tawas. They are just north of the point on the big lake. Great beach, sandy bottom that you can walk to your boat which you can anchor in their little cove. I've been going up to their place for about 20 years. It's beautiful!
