Glow Sticks?

Anybody know a good source for glow sticks. Looking to use some on my in-line boards for some night fishing. How long will they usually last? Looking to pick some up locally if I can as apposed to ordering.

Joe, the 3 or 4 inch glow stick is what you need (I'm pretty sure its the 3 inch, I think I get mine for about 75cents a piece....maybe less if you buy bulk. I stick them in the slits in the Offshore flags, I can't say how long they last because I have never been out long enough to see one die. I tried to use the red strobe light thingys A la capn dan and they were too heavy for my boards...didn't like that idea, but the glow sticks are the cats meow.

I bring mine home and the one's that are still bright I stick in the freezer and use them again the next night. Can get 2 nights work (8 hours or so) out of a stick that way.

Where do you get your sticks at Scotty? Good to hear I won't have to cart an extra bag of the things around since they should last the night.

There ya go, after thinking about it, the 4 inches are the ones to get I beleive.

But where ever you get them, make sure they're not expired or they will only last for a short time before going dim.

I found some at a gas station that are powered by 2 watch batteries. They are 6" long, hollow, and bright as H@#L!! They came in 2 colors, red and green. Pretty cool. I guarantee you will know who I am when you see me. :D
