Has anyone purchased or have any experience with that new IR Stealth Cam? I've seen it for $550 - $600 but know of a few others that sell for $300 - $400. While I can't see spending $600 for one, I'd love to know why SC thinks their's is $200 better. This post may be premature as this is a newer camera; none of us may have one yet.

Look at the cuddeback or leafriver they are around 300.00 and a much better camera. The cuddeis better than the leaf river.
take your time and look at all the spec's on them.
Good Luck

Don't buy the leaf river. Got one, they suck. Slow trigger time and grainy pics.

The Bushnell sucks too.

FixedBlade,
Are you saying "grainy" compared to other black and white IR's?...or color none-IR? If that's the case, my Leaf River non-IR's have awesome pictures compared to the black and white of the IR...but at the same time the IR doesn't have a flash so it doesn't spook game.
Also, did the Leaf River IR you had have the switch for quick pics/higher battery use to slow pics/batter save mode? The one I got for Christmas had a batter save switch and I actually kept it that way because I was watching a feeder so the deer stayed in view for a long time. I got around 1000 photos in a month during late December to late January and the batteries were still good.
I've had times where the trigger speed was a concern, but with quartering the deer's movements, food sources, mineral licks, scrapes, rubs, funneled travel sources, etc., the slow trigger time is very easy to deal with.

I bought the Recon Talon IR last summer. I've only used it on the movie mode; it takes great movies. The movies are more like a series of stills in a 30 second clip. It's very easy to use and will last for 3-4 months on the same batteries. If you buy a larger memory card; it will hold hundreds of 30 sec videos.
And yes, I would buy another one. In fact I notice they are cheaper now then last summer.

Luce,
I have looked very hard at the Recons a few months ago; even posted here asking about the quality but had no responces. Good to finally have heard from someone who has one.
What is the cheapest price that you have seen one go for and from where?

I'm ashamed to say I don't remember what I paid, I think it was $500. I noticed Cabela's has them on sale for $399. Pm me and I'll send a sample of a video clip from this last fall.
