Do you guys recommend the string leaches or the tie on spider silencers and why? Thanks for the help

Beaver balls!! Much better at doing the job of silencing. I don't have them on my Bowtech( I don't have anything on the string except a Loop), but I do on my PSE T-Bolt.

how much do the string leaches slow the arrow down (fps) compared to the other silencers. A guy at a proshop told me the string leaches will slow it down about 20 fps

All depends on where you place them and how fast your shooting already. There's a rule of thumb somewhere on stuff like that, but I can't recall exactly what it is.

I've got leeches on my Browning afterburner and I don't think the speed drops 20fps, maybe more like 5. I'm still launching a hunting weight aluminum at 272 with two leeches, limb savers and a stabilizer. I had to add all the stuff to make the bow extremely quiet, but still get a decent speed out of it.

Also, these leeches have been on my bow for the last 4-5 years and haven't been replaced yet.

Dont worry about losing speed w/ silencers. unless your putting 150 silencers on your string you wont notice any difference.

I don't like the leeches myself. I'm still a cat whisker guy. Better at quieting the string and cheaper as well.
