I'm fishing the Detroit River this weekend with a friend of mine for the first time. He has fished it a few times but not a lot.

I'm curious to what type of rigs you use to catch perch? Is it to late for the perch on the Detroit River? Let me know of any advice. Channel 7, right? What time do I need to be out there? Is 8am to late?

Now that helps doesn't it. What I didn't see on there was a good fishing time. Early/Late, does it matter?

Screw it, I'll just go to Maumee for them eye's, :D

for some reason the best time for perch (for me) is between 12:00 & 2:00. don't know why but that works for me. 2:01 they seem to shut down. go figure.

We still got a few nice keepers...Good Luck..Spreaders..single hook, slip bobbers. I do not think it matters right now.
