Just wondering if any of you have used or seen these light's. They mount into the bottom of the boat or into the transom. They are very popular for fishermen in the ocean and now are becoming more popular here. I am considering getting a pair for our rig. Any thought's.

I put a pair on a boat called "Bandit" last year. He had them on in the harbor last year in Port Sanilac. He said within minute's all the fish in the harbor were behind the boat. He used them during early morning and evening hour's and said that they seem to have worked. Has anyone else had any success with these?

I have thought about it, but the ones that get good revies from the saltwater guys are these crazy transformer 100,000V crazy contraptions that cost like $1500. Do you know of a cheaper, good solution??

I just bought a 300,000 candlepower nightblaster underwater light from cabelas. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but for $19 I thought it would be worth a shot for ice-fishing and for fishing out of the boat or off the dock this summer. I'll post again when I get some results. :)

The light's that I am considering are $1000 per fixture. That doesn't include the wiring and breaker's. They sure do seem cool though. The bulb's in those thing's are xenon. They are incredibly bright. I am thinking hard bout doing it.

Try the scuba diving community--these are real popular with them, but mostly in the warm south. I was just today considering looking these up for our sheriff dept. dive team boat, as they would be awesome for our searching, especially at night in the shallower water.

They are really nice. I think that they will be the next addition to the boat.

Was wondering what your purpose of the light's were, for fishing, diving ??? Seems like a whole lot of money for lights under the boat:yikes: Just curious;)

Mike they are primarly designed for fishing. That is what we will use them for. They also offer a camera so you can film. How sweet would it be to video a musky coming in to hit a wash rod?

Maybe they want to recreate that scene from Jaws where Richard Dreyfuss is getting ready to go into the water and check out the wreck of Ben Gardner's boat.:lol:

I always thought that was a cool shot looking down on the boat from above with all of the lights shining down into the water. :)

Guys use them in the salt for bringing in baitfish. I cant help but think that in shallow water, before sunrise, you could possibly trigger the feeding instict with a "artificial sunrise"(but at $2000+, I'll have to wonder for a while)...
