Has anyone ever use roll on truck bed liner to protect the bottom of an aluminum boat?inside or out.
Just wondering how/if this product would work.

DM39, This subject has been a topic here more than once. Most have, including myself given positive reply's. Do a "search" on the subject, (Duraliner, Rhino Liner, Bedliner) you'll find plenty of information on this subject. ;)

I saw a guy with a boat that did that. Now I wish I woulda asked him exactly what is was. This was a silvery/metallic paint, he did the whole boat with it. Looked awesome.

I just used durabak on the bottom of my Aluminum boat, got her leak tested, stuff works like a million dollars...stuff is almost exactly the same as Herculiner which you can find at Murrays or any other auto parts store...

I think the most important thing is prepping the surface correctly so it adheres to the surface. I think it has to be scuffed up pretty good to stick well.

Sound Great, makes me think about doing my boat. The only flaw I see in it is slowing the boats performance, being more friction aginst the water. But then again it would be unoticeable maybe?

A buddy of mine used it on the inside, it made it real quiet and wasn't even a little slippery. Sportsmans guide had some. www.sportsmansguide.com (http://www.sportsmansguide.com)

We took the boat out yesterday for a tet voyage and did not really notice a difference in performance, I put it on a 18Ft aluminum boat...no leaking anymore...

Awsome my boat is riveted not welded unfortunitly. It dosn't leak but I would like to apply it anyway for an extra sealant and scratch gard, I go over stumps and what not all the time to get to where the big ones hide. This stuff come in white?

Durabak comes in all colors, do a search for durabal under the net and you will find out everything...it is coast guard approved and all that good stuff...make sure you get the UV protected version so it does not fade...stuff is amazing...
