Hello. I am helping to organize a bachelor party for a good friend of mine and was hoping to spend some time fishing on Lake Erie. However, we will have a group of 7 or 8 and all of the charters I can find have an eight person limit. Does anyone have any suggestions for a charter that would be able to accomidate a larger group or any other ideas that might make this work? My friend is pretty excited about the idea of getting out for some fishing so I'm pretty open to any ideas that would make a trip for all of us workable. Thanks so much!

Last year a friend of mine had his bachelor party at put-in bay. We spent the weekend there. We fished Saturday from 8am - 4pm. Had 10 guys. It was like $80/man. We all went out in like a 28' steel tub and casted crawlers. We caught a lot of small fish. Only brought back 14 keepers. We had a riot though, all of us on one boat, boat sodas flowing, captain was a hospitable and knowledgable. When we got off the boat, showered, ate, and played in town.
This charter company had another boat with 6 guys on it, they were able to troll. They were out the same time we were and limited out. But us having 10 guys we were casting.
Look up Pat Chrysler Charters out of Put-in bay if interested.

In 1995, I used Mi-Hi charters Captain Steve Martin out of Luna Pier. We went out in some not so perfect conditions and out fished other charter boats 2/1. Good at what he does.

Either grab two smaller boats and make a competition out of it (like stated above), or head down to Port Clinton and grab a head boat for the day. As far as I know, there are no head boats operating out of Michigan anymore.
