If you can't find something in the DNR site, try a local Gander Mt or your local gun clubs (they're not ALWAYS listed in the DNR site).

My son is 9. Will be hunting in Ohio with me this year, and possibly South Dakota. Also, putting him in for a preference point in Kansas this year.

With no plans to hunt out of state, I waited till he was within a few months of turning 12 so he wouldn't FORGET everything he learned by the time the hunting seasons rolled around!

BTW, I went through it with him and it was a VERY ENJOYABLE experience (and yes, I passed!).
